Survey.com is seeking a Product Manager to join our team. Ideal candidates will have demonstrable experience in all phases of the software development lifecycle including product specification, acceptance testing, and user adoption.  They will have experience working with existing custom development to create a continuous improvement process serving both internal and external users.  They will be experienced working with real time, heterogeneous data to create operational reports and dashboards. They will be motivated to join a successful early stage company and become an integral team member contributing to many facets of Survey’s success.

This new Product Manager will take on primary responsibility for product planning and execution across three internally developed applications that are the backbone of Survey’s operations. This includes gathering and prioritizing product and user requirements, detailing product specifications, defining and executing acceptance processes, and driving user adoption and feedback for continuous improvement. They will team with engineering, client services, and delivery operations to create an impactful, ROI driven development backlog and ensure custom development support Survey’s revenue and operation goals.  The Product Manager will work closely with Survey’s leadership team ensuring that the development activities support the company’s overall strategy and goals.

Job Location: Charlotte, NC or Boston, MA

Responsibilities

  • Collect user input and develop effective product requirements documents with prioritized features and ROI justification
  • Document detailed product specifications and prioritize backlog
  • Define & manage 30/60/90 day product evolution plans across 3 custom applications
  • Run acceptance testing and capture user feedback to direct product refinement
  • Ensure adoption and usage of new releases by internal and external users.
  • Support development of Survey service & data offerings (e.g. product positioning, pricing models, and go to market programs)

Requirements

  • 2+ years as a software or technical Product Manager
  • 6+ years of general professional experience (preferably in technical roles)
  • Some work experience in a high growth environment
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Technical background with experience in software development / UX / data management  (experience with mobile applications a plus)
  • Proven ability to influence cross-functional teams without formal authority
  • Demonstrated experienced balancing near-term and long-term objectives
  • Ability to do limited travel (5-10%, Boston, San Francisco, Portland)
